A M.A.C Attack in Braamfontein

Last weekend saw the launch of a new M.A.C free-standing store in the burgeoning CBD area of Braamfontein. As expected, the corner store drew a hip crowd of bloggers, makeup connoisseurs and music lovers alike.

Upon arrival, customers were soon met with a beautiful store filled with a wide array of conservative and funky lipstick shades that have come to distinguish the M.A.C brand. Inside, many thronged around the store’s makeup stations to discover their favourite shades. The Insider is crazy for its Satin Lipstick range.

Music was also in order, as a popup concert livened up Braamfontein, decked out with a vibrant dance floor and a DJ dock, with the likes of DJ Zinhle at the helm. As if that was not enough, AKA delivered a stirring performance. Thumping house and hip hop music reverberated throughout the area, causing residents in the high-rise apartments above to lean out of their windows and observe the fun below.

The familiar faces of Siya Beyile of the Threaded Man, blogger Lulama Wolf and Marie Claire’s Fashion Editor, Kelly Fung, were also in sight.
