Our Top Fashion Picks from The 2020 Golden Globe Awards

The 77th annual Golden Globes kicked off its 2020 award ceremony on Sunday, 5 January at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Opening – not only this year’s, but this decades award season,  the event saw big Hollywood stars in attendance to recognize excellence in both American and International film, and the American television.

Joey King from the Kissing Booth dazzled in an Iris van Herpen Fall 2019 Haute Couture gown, which Vogue has since labeled her the “breakout star of the red carpet” for 2020.

The Golden Globes also set the tone for red carpet fashion and beauty trends  for the year. Attendees raised the stakes with Haute-couture, exquisite jewelry and plenty of suiting, setting the bar high for this years red carpert moments.

Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi suited up in style on the red carpet at the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards before DeGeneres received the Carol Burnett Award for her work in television.


Elton John made an appearance looking dapper in a classic black embroidered suit accessorized with a rocket pin, a bow tie and a signature pair of sunglasses.

 

The French design house; Yves Saint Laurent also hosted a Golden Globes opening party ahead of the night. The party saw attendance from movie stars; Anthony Vaccarello and Rami Malek,  newlyweds Hailey and Justin Beiber, Kaia Gerber and Tommy among many.
