Anele Zondo & Mpumi Mlambo to Host AFI MMA Black Carpet Experience

Johannesburg, South Africa (April 11, 2025) - Africa Fashion International (AFI) today revealed the next chapter of its partnership with the Metro FM Music Awards (MMAs) 2025.

Building on last year’s success, AFI will continue to showcase the intersection of fashion, art, music, and entertainment, showcasing the creative industry’s dynamism and economic potential.

As the official fashion partner, AFI is the headline sponsor of the AFI Metro FM Music Awards Black Carpet Experience.

This exclusive pre-show will be hosted by SABC 1 star and musician Anele Zondo alongside Metro FM presenter Mpumi Mlambo.

Both will wear custom designs from AFI Atelier, perfectly reflecting this year’s theme: “Crowning Greatness.”

The 30-minute fashion-centric television special will be airing on SABC 1 ahead of the awards ceremony.

AFI’s involvement extends beyond fashion to celebrating South African creativity and cultural excellence.

AFI is also the sponsor of the Best Styled Artist category. The nominees are DBN Gogo, Mörda, MaWhoo, Focalistic, and last year’s winner Oscar Mbo.

The Metro FM Music Awards 2025 will take place at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga and will broadcast live on SABC 1.
