AFI Cape Town Fashion Week was not short of amazement from hand crafted jewellery to stunning runway garments topped with creative make-up looks.

MAC Cosmetics was  responsible for all the amazing make-up worn by all the models.

Here are the Best Five Make-Up looks in no particular order:

Ituen Basi: We took a tribal makeup reference and swapped the white paint for pearls to give a twist on this inspiration, the pearls were set over a sparkling smokey eye for which we used Reflects Bronze (pro lineup, coming soon) and Uniformly Fabulous Retro matte Liquid lip color which is a deep burgundy shade. Kahindo: The inspiration was the motherland and beautiful sights, from cows grazing to flowing rivers, those colors are represented in the painted dots. This was also set against a pared back makeup that looked fresh and modern. Our key products were the hyper real glow palettes and warm x 15 eye shadow palette. Imprint/ Africa is now: For this look we wanted a graphic shape in bold colours and used the MAC pro chromocakes to get them, as it was primarily menswear, we wanted  a fun and bold statement that was graphic to go with the prints in the collection. Look done by Gareth Coleman: Senior MAC Events Team Artist @thelastblackmage

Leigh Schubert: this was a bit punk inspired and we went for a greasy black smokey eye using Feline eye pencil and not making it too perfect and we paired it with an ombre lip in lilac and red using a mixture of lipsticks to suit each models skin tone. Gavin Rajah: A little bit 60’s and psychedelic and a little bit 80’s but full blown color, we did this look in 3 color ways, blue, pink and orange. We used the limited edition Jeremy Scott for MAC palette (Launching online exclusively) to create this fun, colourful look. Look done by Raine Tauber: Global Senior Artist for MAC SA @rainetauber
