Our new age of COVID-19 has made us realise that despite us being social creatures we have found solitude and silence during this time, a universal emotion – we have all benefitted from being alone and it has made us look deep within to embrace change. During this time our commune with our environment has heightened – the plight of the vulnerable has become escalated and the need for us to respond has increased. The new sanctuary we seek is in the making.
This collection is season-less and we hope timeless. It is an expression of silhouettes that were created during the lockdown. Garments that focus on comfort, form and celebrating femininity. The collection is a refocus on what our Atelier has become famed for – attention to detail, fine craftsmanship and fine fabrication. This season we turn our heads to creating a relaxed collection with heavy doses of new romanticism. The collection is an ode to women in
our studio and the women that are part of our corporate social responsibility initiative in support of Rajah’s NPC The White light Movement. The charity focuses on women who are victims of gender-based violence and sexual abuse. A collective group of women have been part of this collection. It is not good enough for our fashion industry to simply produce clothing we have to instill it with purpose and a strong sense of care for our fellow human beings. Atelier Rajah offers this collection that celebrates womanhood and dedicates it to all the women in the world who continue to suffer as victims of violence
and sexual abuse.

Floaty chiffon dresses with delicate eyelash lace detail, soft tulles, brocades, cashmere and utilitarian chino are key to this collection. Each piece reflecting a return to innocence and pushing forward uber femininity. The prints seem eclectic but have been chosen with strong symbolism – snake print – snakes represent creative life force and transformation, leopard print – a leopard being a strong symbol of the feminine and rebirth together with delicate florals. Expect hidden symbolism in this collection that celebrate women!
