AFI Returns as Official Fashion Partner of 2025 Metro FM Music Awards

Johannesburg, South Africa  (24 February 2025) – Africa Fashion International (AFI) has announced its return as the official fashion partner of the 2025 Metro FM Music Awards (MMAs), underscoring its commitment to the intersection of fashion, art, music, and entertainment.

Building on the successful 2024 collaboration, AFI will again celebrate the power of style in shaping culture. The MMAs, a leading celebration of South African musical excellence, provide the ideal platform for AFI to elevate African fashion brands and pioneer opportunities for designers and artists.

AFI's partnership begins with an exclusive AFI Atelier installation at the MMA Nominees Announcement on February 27, 2025.  Nominees and guests will preview potential looks for the main event on May 3 in Mbombela, featuring signature designs from the AFI Atelier archive—bespoke garments previously worn by South African celebrities at high-profile events, including the 2024 MMAs.

AFI will again sponsor the Best Styled Artist category, recognizing musicians who use fashion as a powerful form of self-expression. AFI will also sponsor the AFI MMA Black Carpet, broadcast on SABC 1.
