Media Accreditation Application for Cape Town Fashion Week

Africa Fashion International (AFI) invites media professionals to apply for accreditation for the highly anticipated Cape Town Fashion Week: The Edit SS24, taking place on the 29th and 30th of November 2024 at the iconic Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse.

In order to ensure fair and comprehensive coverage of the event, media outlets and journalists are required to provide pre-, during, and post-event coverage to qualify for accreditation.

Please note that backstage access will not be granted to any content teams, and media outlets interested in backstage content must submit a written request to AFI for approval.

Who Qualifies for Accreditation at Cape Town Fashion Week: The Edit SS24

Accreditation is open to professional media representatives who have a proven track record of covering AFI Fashion Weeks in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. Eligible applicants include:

  • Editors, reporters, writers, television and radio producers, and broadcast/Internet reporters from approved media outlets.
  • Photographers and fashion key opinion leaders with relevant experience.
  • Representatives from fashion magazines, newspapers, online publications, legitimate fashion blogs, TV and radio stations.

Who Does NOT Qualify for Accreditation

Media Accreditation Application for Cape Town Fashion Week Now Live

The following individuals do not qualify for media accreditation:

  • Public relations representatives, marketing staff, creative services, circulation staff, and employees of magazines, newspapers, television, and radio stations not involved in editorial content creation.
  • Writers and publishers of personal or corporate newsletters.
  • Family members of accredited media personnel.

Guidelines for Freelance Writers and Photographers

  • Freelancers must submit a letter of assignment from an approved publication.
  • Writers not on assignment may provide a recent bylined article from the past six months, published in an industry-relevant media outlet. 

 

    Important Notes

    • All submissions will undergo a vetting process. Only applicants who pass the vetting process will be invited to collect their press tags.
    • Each form submitted equates to one (1) press tag application. Media teams must ensure that each member applies individually.
    • We kindly ask that no friends or relatives accompany media representatives to the Press Centre.

    Application Requirements

    • Applicants must provide proof of their affiliation with a recognised media organisation or publication.
