Ever since Zozibini Tunzi made her debut on the universe stage in 2019, she has been regarded by many as a style icon. But she’s no ordinary fashion plate. The former Miss Universe has a distinctive style that separated her from other beauty queens.
She has found a way to push her personal style, whether on the stage of an international event as MC or in her recent role as host of Miss South Africa’s Crown Chasers.
A fan of African-made luxury fashion, she has turned to South African designers to dress her for her duties as host of the SABC 3 reality competition.
But it’s in the latest episode of Crown Chasers that she made such an impact with her wardrobe that even the judges, Bonang Matheba and Leandie du Randt, couldn’t help but marvel.
Tunzi, who is known for her elegant and sophisticated style, looked stunning in the looks.
She kicked off the episode with a Scalo’s beaded cropped jacket. First presented by Scalo at Cape Town Fashion Week, the cropped jacket in a luxe jersey fleece fabric, boasts beautiful beadwork inspired by the milky way.
She styled the jersey with A Cognoscenti’s olive-green cigarette pants.
She followed the look with Imprint ZA’s Jacquard Swing Dress- a turtleneck printed jacquard swing dress with ruffles on sleeves and hem. She styled with the matching Jacquard Shawl to make it a full chic winter look.

For the final segment of the show, she elicited gasps as she wore Scalo’s fully beaded corset top from the brand’s African Galactic Sunset Dress, styled with the beaded African Galactic Wide Leg Pants.
It was a decidedly chic look, that once again showcased her knack for picking out looks that have made her a modern style icon.
