Tshepo Rakale - Unique Take on Menswear
Tshepo Rakale, a self-taught designer from Soweto, South Africa, is behind Gvllvnt. Gvllvnt is known for its formal and streetwear styles that represent South African flair. A favourite of South Africa’s leading men, his attention to detail and pursuit of luxury, makes him one of the most exciting menswear designers in South Africa. Bathini Designs - Quality and Independence
Making her AFI Fashion Week debut at Joburg Fashion Week, is Bathini Kowane, who started her business in 2015 from her living room. She's a self-taught designer and pattern-maker with a background in corporate banking. What started as custom designs has now grown into ready-to-wear collections sold online and in South African boutiques. Bathini Designs is all about women feeling comfortable in their skin and making a statement.
Tumie Mohoasa - Timeless Style
Tumie Mohoasa, the creative force behind Nguo in Gaborone, Botswana, draws inspiration from her happy childhood. Nguo designs are all about contemporary style with a touch of delicacy, extravagance, and captivating beauty. You'll find modern glamour mixed with luxury in every piece.
Papy Kaluw – Urban Chic
From the vibrant heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo comes Papy Kaluw, the creative genius behind Urban Zulu. His brand, an embodiment of an urban paradise, seamlessly fuses functionality with spirituality.
