DJ Zinhle, Young Stunna, Temple Boys CPT and The Scorpion Kings to perform at Cape Town Fashion Week

When African Fashion International announced the return of Cape Town Fashion Week, it was all about making sure that attendees get an experience they will never forget.

 

After living through a global pandemic that threatened the many sectors of creative industry, it was important that when AFI Fashion Weeks return to in-person gatherings, that attendees have the time of their life. It is with that in mind that AFI has added to the line-up ground-breaking musicians who have built a global audience.

DJ Zinhle will be back on the decks at Cape Town Fashion Week. The hitmaker also dabbles as a fashion accessories designer, making her performance at CTFW a great intersection of fashion and music.

 

Taking centre stage alongside the showcasing designers will be chart-toppers, DJ Zinhle, Young Stunna, and The Scorpion Kings.

 

They will blow attendees away with performances that celebrate fashion and Pan-Africanism at the Cape Town International Convention Centre during CTFW.

 

CTFW will open with a performance from one of Africa’s top DJ’s and fashion moguls, DJ Zinhle on Thursday, March 23. A favourite at many fashion events, she has consistently stayed at the top of her game, both as a DJ and a musician. Attendees can expect to be fully entertained as she takes to the decks.

Temple Boys CPT will be making their CTFW debut to perform their hit song, ‘Saggies’. The gqom outfit have taken the country by storm with their infectious music.

 

It would not have been a Cape Town event without Cape Town gqom sensations, Temple Boys CPT taking to the stage as well. The group have made a massive impact on the music scene with their hit song Saggies and will also be performing on the first evening of CTFW.

 

Continuing the stylish experience will be ‘Adiwele’ and ‘Sete’ hitmaker, Young Stunna, who has built a name as one of the most talented vocalists in the AmaPiano genre. He will perform on Friday, March 24.

Young Stunna has had a phenomenal two years in the music industry, thanks to his hit song Adiwele, which has led collaborations with other artists, including KO and Blxckie for the chart topping ‘Sete’. He will perform on March 24 at the CTICC. 

 

The dynamic duo, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small, otherwise known as the Scorpion Kings, are set to light up AFI's stage on Saturday, March 25. They have set their sights on putting on a show to remember.

 

With a line-up like this, AFI is once again reaffirming its commitment to showcasing the best of African talent to the world. AFI is recognised as a breakthrough platform that nurtures, invests in, and promotes the best African creative talent.

 

AFI is proud to have been a part of the African fashion industry’s growth over the last 15 years. As such, this year's CTFW promises to be an especially special event - a Pan-African celebration of homegrown talent that highlights the intersection of fashion, art, design, music, and AFI’s contribution to the creative world.

What better way to end CTFW with a bang than with a performance by Amapiano heavyweights, The Scorpion Kings? DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small will have fashionistas dancing the night away on the final day of CTFW at the CTICC.
