Inside the AFI Privé Signature Collection Launch at House of Nala

Africa Fashion International recently welcomed its VICs and friends of the brand to an exclusive unveiling of the AFI Privé Signature Collection for Spring/Summer 2024/25.

Hosted at the House of Nala in Sandton City, the event perfectly showcased the essence of AFI Fashion Experiences: intimate, bespoke, and elegantly stylish.

Following the celebrated showcases of the AFI Privé Signature Collection at Cape Town Fashion Week and the Cape Town Resort Collections, this event brought the collection closer to House of Nala’s Johannesburg-based clientele.

The House of Nala Sandton City's fresh makeover, with soft mocha tones and warm lighting, provided the perfect setting. For the event, a floral backdrop inspired by the collection’s prints allowed guests to pose as living mannequins. Guests also enjoyed fine wine from Hidden Valley Wines and artisanal chocolates, creating an atmosphere of relaxed luxury.

Top models Loren Jenneker and Amaka Chirah brought the collection to life, gliding through the space in stunning pieces inspired by the Amaryllis flower—a symbol of beauty and strength.

The womenswear collection highlighted the versatility of summer dressing, featuring statement skirts like high-waisted maxi skirts, denim bubble skirts and asymmetrical pleated skirts.

Romantic touches included the sunray pleated blouse, the ruffled off-the-shoulder blouse, floral hand-stitched bandeau tops, and corset dresses in blush pink and denim.

The best-selling Privé Agbada Kimono has been given a summer make-over in airy organdie fabric. A standout accessory was the Privé silk scarf—a chic, giftable piece which is perfect for the season.

Menswear was showcased on mannequins, offering a minimalist yet impactful perspective. Crisp white linen shackets, tailored trousers, and the signature print shirts demonstrated the AFI Privé brand’s commitment to timeless, tailored elegance.

Designed with customisation in mind, these pieces spoke to the brand’s dedication to personal luxury and will be available on custom orders only.

This intimate gathering not only offered the guests a preview of the collection but also provided an opportunity to purchase pieces from the collection ahead of the holiday season.

The event once again reinforced AFI’s innovative approach to customer engagement and making high quality African fashion accessible.

The AFI Privé Signature Collection is now available at House of Nala in Sandton City, the One&Only Cape Town, and online through the House of Nala e-commerce store.
