Press Release: AFI Brings Style and Glamour to the AFI Red Carpet at Miss SA

Johannesburg, South Africa (07 August 2024) - Africa Fashion International (AFI), the continent’s leading fashion authority, announced today that renowned TV personalities Jo-Ann Strauss and Dr Fezile Mkhize will host the official red-carpet ceremony for the highly anticipated Miss South Africa 2024 finale.

The star-studded event will air live on SABC 3 on August 10, 2024, at 5:30 PM.

Strauss, Miss South Africa 2000, an accomplished TV host and world-renowned MC, brings a wealth of experience and elegance to the AFI Red Carpet at Miss SA. She will be joined by the charismatic Dr Mkhize, who was recently crowned Mr Supranational 2024 and is the host of Top Travel.

The AFI Miss SA Red Carpet will feature interviews with leading figures across fashion and beauty, business, philanthropy, and celebrity.

Leading the conversation will be fashion experts, including designer Londeka Buthelezi-Ndaba of Malondié, Gert Johan Coetzee, Craig Jacobs and Nontando Mposo, editor-in-chief of Glamour magazine. They will share insights on the fashion on the AFI Red Carpet at Miss SA and the trends to look forward to in the next season.

Entertainment personalities, including Cedric Fourie, Zanele Potelwa, Lebo Mashile, Zoë Modiga, Kamo Mphela and more, will also grace the AFI Miss SA Red Carpet, to share the latest news in the entertainment industry.

Providing insight into what it takes to be in the final stages of Miss SA will be former winners, Tamaryn Green, Vanessa Carreira-Coutroulis, Bokang Montjane and reigning queen, Natasha Joubert.

Jo-Ann Strauss and Dr Fezile Mkhize will be dressed by AFI Atelier in custom-made garments adhering to the 'White Tie' dress code. Their expertise in the fashion industry, coupled with their engaging personalities, will undoubtedly create an unforgettable red-carpet experience.
