We can’t talk trends without discussing fabrics. What are we likely to see more of this season?

This season, traditional fabrics have been given a modern twist to suit the contemporary fashion lover. Wool, fleece, viscose, denim, leather, and knits are among the materials being used to create some truly striking garments. Gingham prints and embroidery have also been incorporated into garments, while luxurious brocades add a touch of elegance.

Will there still be bright colours on trend this season or has that trend passed?

Bright shades are still very desirable this season, with people embracing them for everyday wear. Apricot Crush, Digital Lavender and Viva Magenta are some of the biggest colours of the AW23 collection.

AW 2023 TRENDS- MONOCHROME

The beauty about AW fashion, is that its trans seasonal, you can wear layer with lightweight clothes and still make a fashion statement. Compliment Soft colours with Bold colours and Prints. Blend metallics with monochromes. Accessories are a great way to incorporate trends, so make sure you have soft items like wool scarves, leather gloves and oversized bags.

What are your favourite trends of the season?

I find fashion trends exciting, especially in terms of the colours of the season. I enjoy experimenting with neutrals, rustic and bold shades, along with unique prints. Not only do I like simple designs, but also ones that are eye-catching. Therefore, I'm having fun exploring colour blocking, wider leg styling, oversized knits and jackets and various boxy silhouettes.

Are you an avid follower of trends or are you of the belief of marching to the beat of your own drum?

I follow my own tune, though sometimes it may sound similar to a trend. I'm not content with just following a style- I put my own spin on things and make them my own. That way, trends never wear me; rather, I'm the one in control of what I choose to wear.
